Lee Spiegelman is the founder and managing principal of SplitRock Group LLC, SplitRock Group, LLC is a real estate investment banking and advisory firm, which was established in order to provide a full spectrum of services to the real estate industry. These services include commercial mortgage brokerage, transactional advice, and investment consultancy.  Mr. Spiegelman is involved in all facets of deal management including loan origination, property acquisitions and dispositions as well as business development and strategic activities.  Mr. Spiegelman has been involved in the real estate and financial services industry for most of his career where is has been involved in over $1 Billion in corporate and commercial real estate transactions.  He has worked with national firms such as Alexander & Alexander and Salomon Smith Barney.  Mr. Spiegelman is known for his creativity and thorough knowledge of real estate and global financial markets, he has demonstrated impeccable timing utilizing buy and sell strategies.  Mr. Spiegelman sold a closely held portfolio of over 1,000 multifamily units of one of their related entities just prior to market sell off in 2008 some of these returns were as high as 500-1000 percent.  Mr. Spiegelman was able to further capitalize on the market dislocations thorough various strategies utilizing debt and equities that have generated outsized returns. 

In addition to his background in finance and investment banking, Mr. Spiegelman has significant experience in development, leasing and management.  Since prior to college Mr. Spiegelman has worked with his father, who has been a real estate developer for over 50 years. Through various ventures they have been involved in the development, construction and renovation of numerous commercial and residential projects these projects involved such global corporations such as Pepsi Cola, Cablevision Systems, Michelin USA, Conair and Home Depot.

On a personal level Mr. Spiegelman is someone with a straight forward business approach and deep loyalty to friends, family and business relationships, he has also worked with local economic development groups and not for profits organizations on various projects with goals such as job creation, preservation and economic redevelopment.   Mr. Spiegelman graduated from American University with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate; he also received his MBA from St. John’s University in International Finance & Economics.
